Water Rescue Task Force

As a core member of the St. Charles County Water Rescue Task Force, the Lake Saint Louis Fire District responds to all water related emergencies within St. Charles County, as well as surrounding counties. This includes swift water rescue, ice rescue, boating accidents, drowning and assisting law enforcement with evidence recovery.

The Lake Saint Louis Fire District alone contains 625 acres of water over two lakes. In addition, St. Charles County is bordered by both the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers.

The Water Rescue Task Force also provides standby services for events such as water ski shows and triathlons.

The Water Rescue Task Force is made up of Career and Volunteer Firefighters from the Lake Saint Louis Fire District. In addition to normal firefighting, rescue and EMS training, the Water Rescue Task Force participates in specialty training including boat operations, dive rescue and recovery, swift water rescue and ice rescue.
