Water Rescue Personal Water Craft

The personal water craft are provided to the Lake Saint Louis Fire Protection District for the Water Rescue Task Force through a Government loan program. Every spring we receive two personal water craft and return them on October 1st to J.W. Cycles in Washington Missouri. The water craft are used in rescue situations involving swift moving water. Attached to the back of the craft is a rescue basket. During a rescue operation there are two trained personnel, one moves off into the basket while the other person navigates the craft. When the victim is approached the rescuer grabs the victim and secures them into the rescue basket.
