Numbering Scheme

The numbering scheme for fire agencies in St. Charles and St. Louis Counties employs a four digit identification (i.e., 9214).

The first two digits (9214) identify the fire agency.

The third digit (9214) indicates the fire station where the vehicle is housed.

The fourth digit (9214) indicates the type of apparatus, as indicated below.

All reserve equipment is identified with a 9 for the third digit. Apparatus with an 89 for the third and fourth digits are Air Cascades. Boats are identified with a 99 for the third and fourth digits.
